How Does Love Bring So Much Lasting Happiness More Than Anything Else?
Happiness is an emotion; happiness is subjective. A person can feel happy because of his financial wealth; another can be happy even when he does not have a big house or nice clothes to wear.
Love, though, is an element that you can always count on to bring lasting happiness. It doesn’t matter where you are and what you have, love always wins.

According to Robert J. Waldinger, a psychiatrist and professor at Harvard Medical School, human relationships are able to keep you healthier and happier. This is the result from a 75-year-long research on happiness, and it shows that love ultimately creates happiness that lasts a lifetime.
Family
Start by loving your family. They may not be perfect, and they may not be the ideal family that you think you want. We’re all human after all, so there’s bound to be flaws some place or another. But, to have a family who loves you is perfect.
It doesn’t matter if they don’t say “I love you” often because love can be shown in many ways. Getting mad at you because they’re worried; giving you the chicken drumstick because you love it; waiting for you to come home when it’s late - all of these are acts of love. In his study, Waldinger stressed the importance of warm, quality relationships. Couples who know they can always count on each other are the ones that are the happiest. Apart from being happier, this feeling positively affects their brains as they grow old as well. A happy relationship means there’s a healthier brain in the late stages of life. Furthermore, the research findings have shown that love helps old couples in maintaining a happy mood, even when they are experiencing physical pain. It is love that keeps them going every day.
